2013 Dodge Dart coming soon at Hayes Automotive

The All New Dodge Dart was revealed at the Detroit Auto Show this year and generated some big interest from the likes of Motor Trend and Car&Driver. C&D says "Dodge lobs a sharp object into the ultra-competitive compact wars." We couldn't agree more. The front wheel-drive Dart utilizes lengthened and widened Alfa Romeo Giulietta underpinnings and will be Fiat's first sharing of vehicle architecture with Chrysler.

The 2013 Dodge Dart is ready to deliver with the Uconnect Touch 8.4, featuring AM/FM/CD/MP3 and SiriusXM Satellite Radio with replay mode. Get up-to-the-minute fuel prices, weather, sports and movie listings with available Garmin Navigation and SiriusXM Travel Link. Crank up your own tunes via remote SD card or remote USB Port with iPod mobile device control. So many features they even added steering wheel mounted controls so you can keep your eyes on the road, and your hands right where they belong. It's everything demanding tuners crave.

The Dart starts production in the second quarter of 2012, initially with two engines: the so-called “Tigershark” 2.0-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder and a 160-hp, 1.4-liter turbocharged and intercooled four similar to the one found in the Fiat 500 Abarth. Both make 160 hp, but they have vastly different torque ratings; the 2.0 whips up just 145 lb-ft, while the 1.4 turbo will offer 184. A few months after launch, a 184-hp, 171 lb-ft 2.4-liter “Tigershark” four will come online. This engine and the Fiat's transmission technology are the reasons Fiat got so much play during the bail out negotiations. These award winning powertrains are the envy of the industry. Put together with Chrysler's steller manufacturing and quality standards this combo becomes a winner for the boys in Detroit.
